Tom writes about managing money at Money Compare where consumers can compare online savings accounts in order to get the highest interest rate and therefore increase their ROI.
Great post Tom. Some really handy sites here. Unfortunately I am in Australia and some of these UK and USA tips do not work for me…Of course some do though…For example I don’t even think coupons exist in Australia…And that’s not fair because I always read about people saving loads of money when using coupons at the grocery store.. We don’t even know what they are…
http://www.topsavingideas.com is a website on saving money for Australians.
Good article. Having a blog is a good way to bring exposure to your site. If you are not able to handle your own blog, there are other companies that can handle that service for you as well as all different types of services in the IT field. It can really prove to be beneficial to growing businesses.
I think most people would agree that saving money is something “easier said than done”. Personally, I believe it’s a mind-set that needs to be developed by creating good money-saving habits.
Here are some things I’ve done to help change my spending habits:
– Cook more at home ? Eating out is very expensive especially if you do it a couple times a week
– Try shopping online ? You can find better deals than in the store and you save on gas (I recommend http://www.shoptivity.com)
– Pay the full balance on credit cards each month ? Interest charge is like giving away free money
– Don’t forget to pay yourself ? Set up an online savings account (they pay higher interest than a normal savings account)
– Set a budget and goals ? It’s good to have your goals written down so you see them everyday and don’t lose focus on your ultimate objectives
Again, saving money requires a lot of patience and hard work. However, you’ll thank yourself later on in life. Good luck everyone!! =)
http://www.whatsonsaleinsydney.com is a good one for sydney siders who want to save money… i know they’re having a free coupon thing right now so they’re giving away all their deals for free.. people can get 25%, 50% and 2 for 1 deals.. definitely worth checking out!
it’s been a while since I read anything as useful as this
MySavings has some really good specials and free stuff from time to time. I’m a fan.
Some people are missing on great deals and cannot buy them later. While others are so addicted to buying coupon deals that they sometimes want to get rid of them and cannot. Thanks for this coupon deal site that gives these people the option to sell their unwanted coupons to the people that have missed them on the sale day.
Great list. I am getting serious about saving money this year and having a community of like-minded people to connect with and learn from would be so useful!
